Rosa Fiorelli Rosato

My mom found a belated graduation gift hidden in her closet the other day, a bottle of Rosa Fiorelli Rosato. She knows my love for wine. 

I paired it with a white pizza topped with onion, spinach, sun-dried tomato, garlic and turkey pepperoni my boyfriend made last night. It was delicious; both the wine and the pizza. 

Rosato is a semi sweet blush blend of Grenache and Blanc du Bois grapes which the Fiorelli’s use in many of their wines. It was a 2010 vintage with 11.5% alcohol by volume. It had nice legs and was the perfect balance of sweet and fruity with a hint of tart to even it out. Not too much tannin aftertaste which can make wine difficult to drink a lot of for me. Overall very drinkable wine that I can see pairing well with desserts.
